off site Volume Production Management

When you are ready to move into manufacturing the first thing you will do is place your Production Fabric and Trim Orders. This is a great time to have us develop a Bill of Materials for you. The BOM will give you an organized excel spreadsheet to easily refer back. It includes all of the details of your fabric, trim including content, weight, and supplier information. This sheet will provide the framework for you to keep a running inventory of your raw materials during your production in order to track how your actual yields compare to your projected yields. This is a practice that will benefit you monetarily and ethically because it decreases waste. After your first sample we can provide you with an estimated production pricing and MOQs or Minimums for our facility to make the product at volume. At this point we can also determine if it makes sense for you to move to another facility for volume manufacturing. The Factory Buffalo provides small batch cut and sew manufacturing in house at designer and advanced contemporary price points. We also have partnerships with a variety of domestic manufacturing facilities that specialize in various type of sewing. At the onset of your project we can make recommendations for what is the best fit for your specific product. Whether it is us manufacturing, or one of our partners, we are also available to fully manage and oversee your cut and sew manufacturing from start to finish. We pride ourselves on our meticulous oversight throughout the entire process so that you can rest assured that you will get the highest quality product.

PACKAGING

Bag + tag

When making a decision as to how you want your final product presented, you will want to consider if your product is going direct to consumer or to a retail setting. If your product is going to be shipped direct to a retailer, keep in mind that some retailers require receiving product to very detailed specifications so start first by asking your clients. We can develop a standardized guide for your packaging based on that feedback so that you can rest easy that your final presentation will meet your expectations. You will also need to provide your chosen volume facility with the specific packaging supplies you would like to use. We can help you to source these materials. If you don’t have anything specific in mind for standards or materials, we can research and reference some ideas that could be a unique solution for your brand and compliment your ethos and marketing.
